Chase Your God given Dreams

"If your dream doesn't scare you, it's too small"

My friend and I started doing Bible study together using 'Bible app: You Version'. There are many plans in that app and we can choose any plan that we want. So we did a plan called ' Chase the Lion ' by Mark Batterson and I learnt a lot from it. I would like to share a few things from that plan.

We all have dreams, don't we? Well, I didn't really have a big dream till I was in my final year of undergraduate programme. I didn't really focus on anything and I was still questioning God about my purpose. I am a person who wants to do things 'my way' and 'by myself'.

Most of us think that hard work and persistence is the key to success. That is what we hear from people and we believe that it is true. It is only partially correct. Without God nothing can be achieved especially when it comes to God given Dreams.

' You have to go after a dream that is destined to fail without divine intervention '

God should always be the source of our success. It's easy to talk about your dreams to people but what does the scripture tell us? Faith without deeds is dead. Once we believe it we must start preparing mentally and physically towards our God given dream. Even as God leads us through this journey of pursuing our  dream there will be times when we will have to face disappointments.

Like a mother eagle that pushes her eaglets out of the nest when they are strong enough to fly, God might be stirring your nest. You may be afraid of falling but God's intent is to make you fly. Your dreams will inspire many people, no doubt. But your dreams will also summon opposition. It's because you are disrupting the status quo. It doesn't matter what people think about your dreams. If God put the desire in your heart to pursue that dream, it means that HE designed that dream just for you. The most important thing that we often miss out is recognising and celebrating the success God has given us along the way in pursuing our dreams.

Is your dream big enough ?

Do you believe that the God who put the desire in your heart to pursue your dream will help you fulfil your purpose?
