Fighting for Your Heart

FIGHTING FOR YOUR HEART

Toby Mac released an album titled "The Lost Demos". It was just another normal boring day and I came across a song from this album on Youtube because I was stuck at home due to the pandemic (COVID-19) that hit the world. There wasn't anything great about the music but the lyrics made a lot of sense.
" I know you got secrets
That you have locked away "
All of us have secrets and we don't share it with people because we aren't really proud about it. It might be a bad memory to some people like me. I have secrets that I've been trying to hide for almost a decade. And my secrets are locked within my heart.
" I know you feel let down
By your friends and family "
The people whom we cling onto will shake us off at some point in life. There is a familiar saying ' Blood is Thicker than Water '. But is it true ? My Friends and Family have let me down.
" And you told me you think about givin' up sometimes
But no distance between us gonna hold me back tonight "
I've had sleepless nights. Nights when I just wanted to escape from this reality. Nights when my pillow was soaked in tears. I wanted to quit. I wanted to take a long break. It was during those lonely sleepless nights that I felt God closer to me like never before. God said that HE was right next to me. HE said that no distance could ever separate me from Him.
" 'Cause I would take a bullet for you
I would take the fall
And I will be the last man standin'
When everyone else is gone
Oh, my love will find you
No matter where you are
And I will be the last man standin' by you
Fightin' for your heart "
Jesus is the only one who will stand with you till the end. God sent His son Jesus Christ to this Earth and instead of you and me He took the bullet and gave His life for us. It was His way of showing us how much He loves us. God is chasing and pursuing you. He is fighting for your heart.
Will you let him have your Heart ?
